It's that time of the month again. NO - not that time of the month! It's time to reveal my newest "Man of the Month", Brindle Chase. Brindle is a contemporary erotic romance author I met in a writers group. When I asked if he'd take part in my calendar for charity, which will be available before Christmas, he readily agreed. So, without further ado, let's get on with the interview! ME: So, Brindle - let's start off with an easy question. What's the day job like?
BRINDLE: Oh the mundane. I work for a major financial institution as a processor. I run ancient computer systems and process customer requests. It's very boring, low pay, but good benefits.
ME: I guess we all gotta do what we gotta do for money. Good benefits are important for family though. Tell me about yours.
BRINDLE: I'll be married for 20 years next August, and my wife and I have two beautiful daughters, ages 12 & 3. We live in urban Portland, Oregon.
ME: I've read some of your books and enjoy your stories and writing style immensely. Tell the readers a little more about that.
BRINDLE: I've been writing for about three years now. I write Paranormal and Contemporary erotic romance. I also dabble with erotica, suspense, fantasy and children's books.
ME: That's quite varied waters you test! Where do you get your inspiration from?

BRINDLE: My muse is hyper-active. She feeds me plots all the time. So many, I could never write them all. Ultimately, whichever one really grabs my attention is the one that gets written. However, she loves to give me a stellar idea when I'm mid-way through a WIP.
ME: What a bitch! *lol* Ah well, aren't muses fickle things? Sometimes I think they test our ability to concentrate on one thing at a time. Now - let's get a little more personal. What kind of music can readers find you listening to when you get a chance?
BRINDLE: I listen to damn near everything, minus gangsta rap. Anything that refers to women as bitches or hoes is strictly forbidden in my house. I won't contribute to a culture that brreeds such sickness. Basically, anything with hate as the message is out. My favorites are Iron Maiden, Nightwish, Mozart, Abba, Ozzy Osbourne, Little River Band, Beethoven, The Beatles and Rush.
ME: Interesting variety. Any hobbies you have time for?
BRINDLE: Writing is more than a hobby to me now, but if I weren't published that would
be my primary hobby. For fun, I play sports games on the computer. I used to be into MMORPs and 1st person shooters online, but I don't have time. There are many I would like to do but again - its about time. On my hit list: skiing, hockey, HO train sets, model airplanes, militaria, etc.
ME: Cool! Let's get even more personal. What is the most romantic thing you've ever done?
BRINDLE: Ah, well *tugs on collar* so much for the easy questions. Let's see.... The most romantic thing I tried to do, turned out goofy in my opinion. But t
o propose to my wife, I didn't want to get her a ring she wouldn't like. So, I made one out of paper and wrote "insert diamond here" on the face of it. I told her I was taking her somewhere special. There used to be this creek by my house, where I would go when I needed to be alone and just think. It had a small meadow and forest surrounding it. So, I drove her to this school, where you have to jump the fence to get to it. I was going to lay out a blanket and sit with her by the brook and pop the question under the moonlight. When we got there, the forest was now a jungle of condos! Sooo... I took her back to my tiny, messy apartment, laid the blanket out on the floor in front of the TV and proposed to here there instead. Corny, I know, but romance is really about the sentiment.
ME: Awww... *sigh* It's the thought that truly counts! Any future goals you have for yourself?
BRINDLE: My 10 year plan is to be retired from traditional work and writing full time

from home. I guess along with that is to still be alive in 10 years to enjoy it! *lol*
ME: haha I'm sure you will be and I have no doubt you'll succeed! Speaking of enjoying life - if you had the means, what would your dream vacation be?
BRINDLE: hmmm... If I could go anywhere...
I would want a Mediterranean Sea Cruise, with stops in Greece and Egypt so I could see 6 of the 7 wonders of the world. And while I was there, a quick stop in Tunisia to see Carthage as well. In fact, skip the boat - I wouldn't want to waste time floating with a bunch of tourists when I could be exploring the ancient wonders!
ME: That sounds great! One last thing, Brindle - every guy in the
calendar gave a quote that kind of summed up their life or inspired them. Do you have anything like that to share?
BRINDLE: *lol* I can't really think of one! How about - Have fun? Just do it?
ME: I think Nike owns that last one.
BRINDLE: Well, what about - Live it up? You only live once? All are good thoughts, methinks! Maybe I could make one up. Let's see... What happens in my pants, stays in my pants? Wait - that could turn out badly. *lol* What happens in my, hand stays in my hand?
ME: *snorts in laughter* Hey - you can't do that durin
g the interview!
BRINDLE: No? Ok - I give up. =oP
ME: How about we'll sum things up with "Live it up and have fun." That ought to help you rise to the occasion. *giggles uncontrollably* Now look what you've started!
BRINDLE: *blink
s innocently* I didn't do anything.
ME: *wipes tear from corner of eye* Thank you so much for being my guest, Brindle, and for being in the calendar.
BRINDLE: *waggles eyebrows* It was my pleasure. hehe
ME: Oh boy... *fans self* If you'd like to visit Brindle, he can be found at: www.forlorn-hope.net
